In the wake of today’s talented Independent Artists, Unyque Dreamz is destined to rise from the
ranks of many hopefuls and shine amongst the brightest of stars. With her soulful vocals,
uncanny writing skills, and constantly building fan base, Unyque is steadily becoming a
household name.
Unyque started singing in church and public school choirs around the age of seven and writing
and composing her own music (by ear) by the tender age of ten.
Growing up listening to different genres of influential artists in the 70s and 80s, have slowly be-
stilled in Unyque her very own diverse style of music.
Unyque grew up in a very small town outside of Jacksonville FL; too small for her to ever make it in
the entertainment industry. Soon after graduating from high school, she realized that she had to
move on to bigger and better things. After completing a few years of community college, she
decided to enlist in the US Army. Along life’s journey, love found Unyque and her music career got
put in the rear as she fulfilled her role of being the best soldier, mother, and wife she could be.
As the years passed, Unyque slowly lost her identity and thought that she had lost her will and
chance at ever becoming a singer/songwriter again as she focused solely on raising her family.
However, something happened along the way. Out of nowhere, the singing/songwriting love bug
came back. No matter how hard Unyque tried to ignore and push it away, her love and passion for
music slowly rose from the ashes of her dreams and consumed her soul. With a new found tool
for writing (Life’s experiences), Unyque was armed with the right weapon and attitude she needed
to sing and write better than she ever had.
Fighting her way out of the trenches of negativity in her own mind of self-doubt about the industries
standards, Unyque’s new found determination prompted her to throw caution to the wind by
single-handedly writing and producing her entire album. She has now join the bandwagon of
other unsigned independent artist by marketing herself. Unyque Dreamz is determined to become
one of the hottest independent R&B/Neo-Soul solo artist this millennium has to offer.
